Somerset Down Under
Having been brought up in Somerset I have been a Glover fan for many years. Now living in Sydney, I have to rely on texts (sms) from friends back home and reading the web to find out how they are doing.
I will be up in the early hours tomorrow ( Sunday night / Monday morning –Play-off final) reading how the might Yeovil fair at Wembley. At least next year when they go up we will be able to get to watch them over here. Maybe if anyone from Sydney would like to suggest a good bar we can call home we could show them how people from Yeovil (That includes all those unfortunate not to have made it to Huish Park) Enjoy supporting the Mighty Glovers.

Greetings From An Aussie Exile
Just a short note to say I have supported The Glovers for the last 10 years. Even more so in the last 18 months since I had the pleasure of going to a game at Huish Park last August (YTFC 1 - Blackpool 1). My sister and her family live in nearby Martock so they are keen supporters also.
I am pleased to see Scotty Guyett is getting another run of games. He was close to man of the match against Swansea I see. The team is going really well are set up for a tilt at promotion. Still early days though. Just great to see them so competitive in League One, considering where they have come from in the last 5 years.
Another former Glovers favourite Adrian Caceres is playing for my local club side Melbourne Victory. He apparently made quite an impression on Huish Park in his 21 appearances in 2004. This A-League season he played 23 games and played an important role as a midfielder for the Victory in winning the double (Premiership and Championship playoff).
Good luck for the rest of the year and beyond. Go the Mighty Glovers!!!

Hey, I'm 15 I live in Sydney Australia and the reason I go for you is because one of my uncles lives there.

Greetings To All From Belize, Central America
I have been a passionate YTFC supporter since the FA Cup 3rd round when Yeovil took on Liverpool at Huish Park. That was the game that not only introduced me to Yeovil, but it was the introduction to the beautiful game as a whole! I grew up in Chicago Illinois and NEVER watched football, except for American Football. I had all the typical bias against the beautiful game as most North Americans do. Even a move to footy mad Belize in 1989 didn’t change me.
It was that fateful day in January of 2004 when I turned the TV on and watched my first game (ever)…Yeovil Town against Liverpool. Sure, I heard of Liverpool, but who were these Yeovil guys? WHERE is Yeovil! The fog in the air, the green and white colours, the chanting and cheering, the underdog factor, all this added to the mystique of this incredible team. I was mesmerized.
I will never forget YTFC for choosing me as a supporter. I follow the games via internet, official and unofficial sites, and do anything I can to spread my love for the Glovers. Thanks to sites such as this for giving us die hard fans an opportunity to discuss and talk about our beloved team.
Visiting Huish Park is a dream of mine that I hope one day to fulfill.
Until then…..C’mon you Glovers!!
Yeovil Till I Die!

Another Down Under Fan - Writing From Sydney
It was exciting to become a Yeovil Fan last year just as they were hitting their straps and promoted to League 1. I was introduced by a mad Yeovil Fan who lives in Marnhul. He now supports my Rugby League team in Sydney, the Mighty Manly Warringah. Each week we discuss the games and how we both went. Unlike here, the UK actually get coverage of our League games so I really appreciate your fantastic match reports each week with the great photos. Of course I follow the rise of Scott Guyett but eagerly wait to read how Jevons and Davies do the job. I think Steve Thompson makes good tactical decisions and is not afraid to change the team to experiment with the combinations. One day, I shall get to Huish Park and will cheer on the boys.
Robyne Coutts Sydney. Australia
Robyne would very much like to get in touch with other Aussie Glovers living down under. If you would like to make contact with him, please email us here at the site and we will pass your wishes on to him.

A Big Glovers Hello From Macedonia
Dear Glovers.
My name is Riste Pindzurov and I come from Macedonia, I’m 17 years old. I first really saw Yeovil’s spirit when they played my favourite club Liverpool in 2004. Since then I continued following their play and now I can say I’m a FAN. They are my favourite team in the divisions and I hope next year they will be as successful as in this one. I can say that I prefer playing then on Football Manager more than any other team.
Best to the team and to all supporters of the White and White Glovers around the world.
With all my best

Greetings GWSC From Florida
I have travelled to the Yeovil area on business for several years. Being a soccer, or football, fan I became interested in the local team. I was happy to see them gain promotion in 2002 and was disappointed when they missed out on promotion again last year. Maybe this year will be better for the team. They work so hard that they deserve to be in the next higher division.
It was certainly exciting to watch the team play on television here in the States last year during the FA Cup. They were absolutely fantastic against Liverpool. It's too bad they did not gain a favorable result. But for 70 minutes they held their own against a Premiership team and should be proud of that. I still think it was a bad call. My sons became instant fans also.
Both boys, now 31 and 24, were soccer players when they were younger. The eldest son finally hung up his cleats this year but his former coach has asked him to return after the Christmas break. We shall see where that goes. I miss going to his matches. I tried to get to his matches every week. The younger son hasn't played since high school but still loves the game. The eldest was a defender/midfielder and the youngest was a goalkeeper. The youngest boy set a County (Shire) record for number of shutouts (clean sheets) when he was in high school.
I hope some of the Glovers FA Cup games are televised again this year. Unfortunately, I'm on another assignment and may not be back to the Yeovil area for a while. I will still continue to follow the team and wish them the Best of Luck.

Yeovil Maryland
Greetings Glover Kingdom,
I saw the FA Cup match last season versus Liverpool on tv over here and felt the Glovers caught a bad break--Kewell the diver! Loved how fluid Yeovil played. I keep up with them through just about every site I can find! A few days ago I received "Behind the Green Door" and have read a bit and absolutely love it. One story I have to mention that I came across last year was one of good sportsmanship. This sportsmanship didn't even take place on the pitch! I believe it involved the concession stand giving out pies to the away supporters before their long trek home. It may sound odd, but a little gesture like that, to me, says a lot about the people associated with Yeovil Town.
Cheers to you Yeovil Town and good luck for the remainder of the campaign. Keith Helinsky Middletown, Maryland. USA
Danish Glover
What’s up.... My big point in being Yeovil a fan is I've seen some games on Danish television..... And Yeovil just played very good football..... It’s just brilliant.... Have been a fan for about 4 years now....Since I was 12.... I’m 16 now.... Had birthday yesterday... today its 31/08/04. Yeovil Plays a lot like my favourite team in Denmark - Vejle Boldklub.
www.vejle-boldklub.dk
So I love this kind of playing football..... Have also been thinking about soon when I get some money to go for a game..... Have not decided when yet..... but I’ll let you know soon.... it was 15 pounds right!?
Bye for now....
YEOVIL FOREVER!!!!!
See you!! Bye Emil Thomsen
Gally's Brother!
Became a fan on Feb. 4th (2003) when youngest brother Kevin signed on his 21st birthday. Love keeping up with all the news via the Internet (ciderspace, gwsc and the official site). Wish there was some live commentary on Saturdays as the text updates on the BBC and Sporting Life are a killer.
This time next year we'll be in League 1 with live commentary on the Internet.....

Your Biggest Fans in Germany
We, two 20 years old boys, are very much likely your biggest fans in Germany. My friend and I play the PC game FIFA 2004 from EA Sports, and there we found the Yeovil Town FC in the Third Division. This was one year ago. In the meantime we played about 400 games with Yeovil, and rise up till Premier League. But not only the virtual team had interests woken. For a half year we are looking every week on your website about new information. We are very depressed about the eight place this year. It has not been absent a lot.
Because we both are pupils our money didn't reach to visit Yeovil Town this year, but our plans are to come next year, and see the greens playing. Andy Sanders Germany
Hi from Mirjan from Yugoslavia
My name is Mirjan Stojanovic and I am 24 years old. I am fan of Yeovil Town for about 6 years. Me (and few of my friends) really like Yeovil Town Football Club.
And how it all began...
I think in year 1998 or 1999 we began to play one interesting football manager game (Ultimate Soccer Manager ‘98). We wanted to compete to see who is a better manager, so we picked one team from conference league - the lowest league in the game. And it happened to be Yeovil Town.
It was just a game about a month, and than we began to read real news and results about Yeovil Town. So, slowly, by time, we began to love Yeovil Town. But, here in Yugoslavia we don't have a chance to watch Yeovil live so I can't tell you much about favourite players and so. We can just read news, and watch real time results on Teletext.
And it was very interesting and funny to watch Yeovil Town away games. We can't believe that one team can play that good away. And last season, it was almost a celebration here when our television decided to play the Liverpool v Yeovil Town cup game live. About 6-7 of us came together to my friends house, and we watched that historical game.
We will continue to watch and support Yeovil Town in future and hope Yeovil will continue with good playing. So, that's short story how we became Yeovil Town fans.
Now, we are very happy that Yeovil is improving, and I think and I hope that next season Yeovil will have one point more and will qualify for Second Division. And I hope Yeovil will play good in cup games, and hope to play against Premier League teams’ so we can watch that live.
I want to thank you for you attention, and me and my friends are very happy to know that we have your support, and that we are not alone. I hope that in future I will maybe get chance to go to England and watch one Yeovil game live.
Bye and good luck.
P.S. Sorry again because of my poor English. I would like it so I can write better what I think, but sometimes I don't know the right words. Mirjan Stojanovic
