Quality Signings
What ever is happening at the club are they going money mad, signing on players for free and selling off the players that are an asset to the club. This season i have not bought a season ticket as i want to see what is going to happen and now my brother has decided to do the same. Come on Yeovil or you will going down if you do not sign some quality players. David Cousins
To be fair Dave, the players that Russell has brought in are good quality and proven at this level.
It was gutted to see Cohen and Davies go, but I have to say that I am very excited about the possibilities with having Dempsey and Bircham in the centre of midfield next season. Both have good experience at a higher level and are of a good age too.
Look back through our recent history and you will see that Mildenhall, Forbes, Lynch, Jones, Guyett, Stewart, Morris, Way, Johnson, to name but a few, were all free transfers.
Personally I trust Russell Slade 100% - he has only bought in quality so far. Editor
Still Peeved
I must admit that the players Russell has signed must be given a chance, and that i will do but when you see the players that other clubs have signed it makes you feel peeved. Take Oldham for one who signed Mike Richards Blackpool. The player that Blackpool signed was the player that Yeovil made a derisery offer to Huddersfield for.
What is the club going to spend the transfer money on wages or keep it in the bank?
It is nice to know we will be in the black as I can remember the time years ago when we were in the southern league and they had what was called a mile of pennies to get back in the black. Dave Cousins
More Legends
Who came up with this idea of the voting for the best Yeovil player, the list could be endless if all the outstanding players were taking into account. i am looking at all the players who i have seen over the years players that left Yeovil to represent their countries in recent years and others since the war when i started going to Huish in 1946 so come on be fair to the players like Ike Clark ,Hughie Colven, Danny Patten etc. Dave Cousins. Wootton Bassett
Lindy’s Legacy
I too echo everyone's sentiments about Lindy and wish him all the best. If you are reading this Andy, one legacy you have left behind is priceless... you have given every lad in the area the chance to dream... that he can one day turn out for his local club in a high grade of League football.... what can be better than that. M Budden
Good Bye PT
It was a shame to see Paul Terry leave the club last week. I suppose though, that it was always going to happen with Dempsey due to sign this summer. Paul is an East London lad, so I this would probably be an ideal move for him. Best of luck PT! Mike Rogers
Hopefully The 'Best' Of Reasons!
How great it would be if we could land Leon Best. As mentioned, it is a question of what is most important to him...money or a guaranteed happy club where he has already been happy and successful.. It wouldn't be so much of a gamble for him. I wouldn't blame him for choosing the money but hope he doesn't! M Budden

Well Done To Both Teams!
With the season now behind us it’s time to reflect, and what a season it was. To have got to Wembley was a wonderful achievement by Russell and the team. After watching the games both home and away it is quite clear that he has put together a team who work very hard for each other and there seems to be a great team spirit. Thanks lads more of the same next season please.
However whilst the team were working hard on the pitch the G.W.S.C. were working equally hard. I'm not sure if Paul and his team expected such success, but how well they handled it.
In particular the arrangements for Wembley were just unbelievable. How Paul, Gale, Zoe and Roy with their helpers managed to arrange over 90 coaches for the big day to get them out before 9am and making sure everyone got there and back is something we should all be for ever thankful.
We know Roy worked most of he week prior and he should be singled out for individual praise and thanks. Well done to you all it is appreciated. Cec Cook

A Great Servant
Well, I didn’t see that coming.
I’m very surprised & disappointed with Russell’s decision to release Lindy.
Lindy has been a great servant of the club, never giving less than 100% for the cause, & I thought he had excellent end of season (esp. that great cross for Stewie’s header at the City Ground).
Thanks Lindy for your efforts & the very best of luck at your new club; I’m sure you’ll get fixed up quickly. Michael Faulkner
Gutted
Gutted to see you go Lindy. You have been around for so long. It just won’t be the same with out you. Best of luck – where aver you end up. Mike Richards
Blood, Sweat and Lindy!
I will miss Andy Lindegaard at our club. Every club needs a Lindegaard. Local boy, Stood on the terraces as a lad, loves the club and sweats blood for it on the pitch. And he’s flexible too. Really hope that he finds a decent move. Robin Gerrard

Your reaction to the Wembley defeat....

|
Thank You GWSC
This thank you may seem a little late but I emailed the Western Gazette who did not print my letter. However I cannot let the season fade in the memory without saying a very big thank you the G.W.S.C. Paul has made the travel to all away games a real pleasure, but the Wembley day really opened our eyes to the way the Club can call on so many others.
Roy must be mentioned for the hours he put in and he together with Gayle, Zoe and others made the occasion simply brilliant. To have made sure around 90 coaches full of optimistic supporters got to Wembley in good time and good spirits deserves the utmost thanks of us all. WELL DONE AND SINCEREST THANKS.
YOU NOW HAVE A WELL DESERVED REST AND WE IN TURN CAN LOOK FORWARD TO A NEW SEASON, SAFE IN THE KNOWLEDGE THAT WE CAN RELAX,GET ON THE COACHES AND SUPPORT THE TEAM TO MORE SUCCESS. Cec. Cook
Arron’s Salute
Hard luck in the play offs lets hope next season you make it next year. The Arron Davies thing at Forest was the Ayatollah and has been much publicised in the South Wales press as his Dad and friends were in the crowd, and it was a celebration aimed at them, They did it to him and he spotted them in the crowd and returned the message. All the best for next season. Geraint Dutfield (Cardiff City fan)
A Real Shame
It was a real shame to see Yeovil lose 2-0 to Blackpool in the play-off final at Wembley. Blackpool were the better side and played better than Yeovil so they deserved to go up to the Championship more than what Yeovil did. Yeovil did not play well, their performance was not very good.
It was lovely to finally see Yeovil play at Wembley for the first time though. Joe Wills
Forest Gutted For Yeovil
As a Forest steward and supporter of 40 years, I cannot begin to tell you how gutted I was that Yeovil did not win the play off final. Having trounced us at the City Ground, I went up to the local pub and was cheering for Yeovil all the way.
I actually steward the away supporters end at Forest, and with the exception of the very few, maybe a handful at most, supporters who seemed determined too give us a hard time. I felt I must congratulate the many who were respectful and courteous throughout.
All the best for next season, I look forward to meeting the many supporters with whom we had a good laugh and a joke or two. Yours sincerely. P. Collington (aka Loughborough Red).
Paul You’re A Star
As a member of the G&WSC, I would like to give my appreciation for all the organization in running coaches to all the away games this past season, especially for the trip to Wembley recently, it really was an amazing sight to see so many coaches descend on Huish Park. Well done to all concerned.
Also, thanks to Paul for reserving match programmes for games I couldn't go to. What a star!
Look forward to renewing my subscription for next season with the Green & Whites, where hopefully, we can all enjoy another successful season both on and off the pitch. Phil Haynes
A Big Thank You
We would like to say a big thank you to all at the GWSC who organised the trip to Wembley, the organisation with the coaches was excellent and we had a super day, shame again about the result, but at the end of the day we have had a super season. Best regards Peter
Well Done
Just a quick word to say well done to all concerned for getting the transport sorted so efficiently on Saturday.
It must have been a nightmare with so little time and so much demand but to get everyone on their way by nine-ish was a great achievement.
Not the result we hoped for but a memorable day for the club; thanks for all the hard work. A dry run for next year, maybe! Cheers Powell family Kingsbury
Thank You
Just like to say a BIG thank you for organizing the busses to Wembley It all went very smoothly. Many thanks Dave Newman
Well Done Paul And The Team
I would like to give my thanks to all the GWSC committee and a special big thank you to Paul Hadlow in the way that he conducted the task of ordering the away travel for the trip to Wembley. And making sure that nobody got left behind at either end, and also for all his time and effort that he himself put in to make this a Momentous day in the name of Yeovil Town football club, and all of the following fans
Again Paul - A big, big thank you for what you have done throughout the season to make this a very good year for the GWSC as well. Thank you again - you can now have some sleep and after wards have a good drink. Well done. From a loyal supporter. Dave Abbott
Great Day - Great Club
My wife, Maggie - driver of one of the hired in Berrys coaches, treated our youngest son and myself to a day out to the new Wembley, to support Yeovil Town’s efforts to gain promotion to the Championship. George and I travelled by train and were soon exposed to the good company of regular Yeovil supporters, many of whom were also travelling in family groups. I have to say that the whole day was a very pleasant experience and this was due, in no small measure, to the excellent attitude and behaviour of these Yeovil town, and it must be said Blackpool supporters.
I would like to add that I believe that Yeovil Town FC, as a whole, have achieved great things, especially in the last 5 or so years - not least of these achievements being to reach the play-off final for promotion to the Championship in such a relatively short time - sadly, this year, it was not to be, but, again in my opinion, the players, staff and supporters have much to celebrate in their achievements to date - they are a credit to themselves, their football club and to Football in general.
I don`t wish to sound pious or sanctimonious, but, as one whose life from the age of 5 or 6 revolved around football - at schools, nursery club and professional club level, having seen the abolition of the maximum wage - surrender to the negative effects of the Latin style of play and the transition from CLUB to Company Ltd style of management , I was transported back ? years to the warm feeling of a day of good family entertainment that I experienced as a lad - I thank you all for that and I hope to continue to enjoy it with you in the future - who knows perhaps Yeovil Town, at long last, may give me the chance to go to Wembley and leave for, the first time in 3 attempts, with my chosen team having lifted the win that day - lets hope its next year.
Great Day - Great Club.
Thanks. Pete Muggleton (a new fan
Many Thanks
I'd just like to say a thank you to Paul, Rich and everyone else involved in organising the coaches to Wembley. If only the result was as good! Thanks again......Martin Fielder
Well done Russell Slade
Okay, so it wasn't the result we all wanted. But hey, Yeovil Town at Wembley - fantastic!
We have had our ups and downs all season, but that's what it's all about. And who at the beginning wouldn't have taken a play off final as the culmination of our season? I certainly would.
The effort and commitment by all, at what is probably the smallest outfit in league one, least of all the players and manager, has to be admired and appreciated. You'll find no complaints from me on that. And there should be none from any of the supporters. This must be seen as the continuation of something special for us all. The continuation of the efforts put in by previous incumbents at the club.
The players have now felt the bitterness of defeat, so soon after the high of Nottingham Forest, and won't want to feel that next year. Efforts and concentration will be on automatic promotion. Obviously Mr. Slade will be trying his damndest to strengthen the squad.
But it’s not just about the squad. The supporters have a big part to play as well! One thing I noticed at Wembley was that the Blackpool supporters were all singing in unison. Yeovil weren't. Why is this? I put it down to the size of each clubs home crowd. With a weekly support of 5 to 6,000, most of those at Wembley weren't used to the chants and songs that are usually sung out in support of the team. Hence, it was very difficult to co-ordinate them.
It wasn't through lack of heart. Okay so the fan base is spread throughout the Yeovil locality, I my self come up from Dorchester. So we must encourage others to make the trip to Yeovil, as well as to away games, on a regular basis, help bring in more regulars, and hence more cash for the players the club needs. That fan base has to be increased dramatically to fill the ground on a regular basis before the club can afford to expand or move the stadium. In essence, we have to help the club market itself to a wider audience! The fans need to be that 12tplayer at home and away.
So let's put our efforts in to supporting the team and pushing them on to promotion next year! Yesterday's loss may be a blessing in disguise by ensuring that Yeovil Town Football Club does not financially extend itself in the Championship with only five or six thousand regular supporters. It gives the opportunity to expand the support base over the next season whilst pushing for that jump to the next level. Let's all appreciate what has happened recently, take heart from what has been achieved to date and put our efforts, positive efforts only please, into supporting the team both home and away, more than two regular away coaches would be a nice start.
Well done Russell Slade. Well done to all the team. I for one will be supporting you next year as much as I can. Enjoy your well earned rest and come back refreshed for the new campaign!
Best wishes to all.
Chris L
A Great Pity
It was a great pity that we did not win the final at Wembley, but we did try are best, but on the day Blackpool were the better side over the 90 mins. A very good day out for all the staff, players and the great following of fans who were able to be at the new Wembley. Again to Russell Slade and Steve Thompson and all the playing staff I would like to congratulate them on a great season that Yeovil Town, have had in their second season in div1,and better things to come next season - Roll on season 2007/2008. Thank you again. Regards. Dave Abbott
Thank You
Thanks to all the Green and Whites involved with the coach organisation for Sunday, a truly magnificent effort. With people like you supporting the club they deserve all the success possible.
Looking forward to another interesting season! The Lovegrove family
Phenomenal
Bitch, bitch, bitch …. Yes we lost, but to get there was nothing short of phenomenal. Who in their right mind would have said see you at Wembley for the playoffs. At last we have arrived - the team has the potential to improve. Let’s see next season as our step up with the big boys . This season will go down in history.. so close yet so far , YEOVIL TOWN YOUR SOMETHING ELSE. THANKS AGAIN. Eric Feeley
Fans Were A Credit To Football
As a part-time coach driver for Berrys of Taunton, who were hired in by Ridlers coaches, I had the honour to drive forty eight of your fans to Wembley yesterday (I drove coach no.15).
I wanted to tell you that I think your fans were an absolute credit to you. Several of my coach driver friends said the same thing, that their passengers were lovely people; and we witnessed something fantastic at the end of the game. As we were leaving, the Blackpool fans were streaming out of the stadium, and some were walking through the mass of Yeovil coaches to reach their own - but rather than any trouble being caused (which we sadly hear so much about with some Premiership sides, and the international sides too) the two groups of fans were applauding each other!
It may be rather sad that in this day and age, this kind of behaviour is not considered 'the norm' - but the good grace with which Yeovil fans, no matter how disappointed, bore their loss, and the respsshown by and to the Blackpool fans, was a pleasure to see. Best wishes Maggie Muggleton
Excellent Organisation
Please pass on congratulations to Paul and his team for an excellent organisation of the coaches. It must have been a nightmare, but satisfying to know that so many were able to get to Wembley by coach without any apparent hick-ups. Couldn't have done it without you all. Geoffrey Spencer (STH)
Titanic Feat
Just a quick note to thank all at GWSC for the titanic feat of organisation in getting so many people in so many coaches to Wembley and back. I, with my family, was one of the unfortunates booked on the missing coach 8, but that eventuality was covered, and a replacement coach was standing by to get us there in good time. I also understand that you had put in place cover at Fleet Services, to cover breakdowns there, which I have heard was needed.
A pity about the result, but that takes nothing away from my admiration for you all. I don't travel with the club that often ,but I am comforted that when I want to, I will get there and back in good style.
Let's hope that next season brings automatic promotion and relieves you of this burden all over again! Best wishes Tim Hayes YTID

I will be going on Sunday some how!!
And I thank you all. Thanks. Mike Kunz
Today’s Events Bringing Back Memories
Who’s a very Lucky Chap then. Not only do I have The Glovers to see in the Division One Play-Offs at the new Wembley, having supported them for 40 years. I also have The Baggies in the Championship Play-Off Final the following day. I have supported The Baggies for 66 years this year (from the age of 4), as did my late Father throughout his life and indeed my Grandfather. So we have a Family connection with West Bromwich Albion going right back to DAY ONE in 1879. I have had the pleasure of seeing Albion win the FA Cup twice at the old Wembley (1954 -Sanders, Kennedy, Millard; Dudley, Dugdale, Barlow; Griffin, Ryan Allen, Nichols and Lee.
Beating PNE (Tom Finney and Tommy Docherty and all). also in 1968 beating Everton 1-0 AET with Jeff Astle's Miss-Hit Goal, it came off his shin!! They all count!!! Plus two Losing League Cup Finals v. Man City and QPR both played at the old Wembley.
Then there was the First League Cup Final played on a Home & Away Basis. Saw Albion lose the first leg at Upton Park 2-1 but then went on to win it at Home 4-2 to become the first ever winners of the League Cup. Hammers team included the likes of Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters etc.
However, it will be just as much a thrill to see Yeovil at Wembley for their first visit. I just hope they don't "freeze". If not am confident they can go on and win their place in the Championship.
However, that step is massive and who wants to be the "knocking boys" like Southend were this season. Plus the fact that the present ground is far from ready for such a high standard of football. Looking by the sales of Wembley Tickets the ground isn’t big enough either!!!!! Or do we have a lot of 2 I'll follow only a successful Team" type of supporters going to Wembley!!!!
I know in the past there have been a lot of "Doom & Gloomers" all around Yeovil - that seems to go with the territory!!!
Not like Liverpool who have Supporters going to Athens with not a chance of getting a ticket, but just to be there!!!! That's what real football is all about. Irvin Morris
Support From Grimsby
Congratulations Russell, I watched our lot last year in Wales and now I'll be watching Yeovil at Wembley. Hopefully it will be a better result for you and all the town. The buzz around the town is fantastic compared to Mariners last year.
So from an ardent Grimsby fan - I will be cheering as loud as anyone willing Yeovil to win. All the best to you, your staff and most of all the players. Fingers crossed. Chris Warren
**Star View** What An Experience Friday Night Was!!
The team was awesome and no end of congratulations to the players and manager can transmit to them how the supporters really feel.
We turned up on Friday, just in time, little knowing how Forest's partying mood was to be destroyed, and they certainly were not prepared for what came next. We were there just to make up the numbers weren't we? I don't think any of the Yeovil supporters who made the trip felt that way. We knew that our 'Team' had the beating of theirs. But could they do enough? Could they! Hell they could! And what a fantastic advert for the football played at Yeovil. I saw Russell Slade in the club shop on Sunday and just had to shake his hand as recognition for what he and every one else had achieved.
I hope, now, that the bloke who sits behind me in the College Stand, Block G, Row K, Seat 20 or so, yes you know who you are, will keep his negative thoughts to him self. For four years now I have had to endure his negativity, his favourite phrases being 'that's rubbish absolute rubbish' and, 'come on I can't watch any more of this'. Perhaps he will now keep his mouth shut and let the rest of us watch in relative peace.
If Mr Slade had done as this guy is always suggesting then I recon we would now be heading back towards the Conference instead of, potentially, climbing through the barriers to the Championship.
Roll on Wemberleeey! And good luck to the team! Chris L
Well Done Yeovil!
Hello and congratulations to all you Yeovil fans. I hope a fair few of you get to read this...
I am a Forest season ticket holder, and proud of it. However, I really do hope that you win at Wembley and have a great day (or weekend!) out. You got what you deserved against us; you were the better side in both legs, so hats off to you.
I only hope that Calderwood (if he doesn’t get sacked...please!) has taken a look at how Slade got you playing football in the right manner and realises that this route 1 crap doesn’t work, or bring in the fans. Anyway, Good Luck in the final. Matthew Warren
Well Done One And All!
What can u say; We beat Forest all ends up. The whole squad played like a unit and played the ball on the ground throughout the game. All the goals were well taken, and at the right time.
I would like to thank Mr Slade for getting us to the final at Wembley. What a day It is going to be. Also a big thank you to all the players who have made this possible throughout the season.
I would like personally to thank Yeovil Town Football Club on an outstanding season, and we will be coming back from Wembley with the play off cup, and then going up into the Championship next season, watch this space!! Dave Abbott
Rose From The Ashes
Like a phoenix that rises from the ashes, Words fail me this time. Forest I never knew you would come back at them in such style. A tremendous effort, from one and all THANKS for a terrific season. Eric Feeley New Zealand
Glovers At Wembley – Priceless!
Congratulations to Yeovil for such a great win from all Derby County Fans……. we created you a little MasterCard poem:
A day off work £100, Fuel to game £40, Match Ticket £35 Plastic green wig £5, Beating the Forest PRICELESS………
You made us all very very happy last night ! Go win the play-off final. Steve Dawkins Derby County Fan
You Deserved What You Got
This is not a general query but an e-mail to congratulate your team on a fantastic display of attacking football against Nottingham Forest, a team that I have supported for the last 51 years.
I, along with thousands of other Forest supporters thought that we would go through to the Play off Finals at Wembley this year (although I did think that we would fall at the last hurdle as I don’t think we are good enough). However, having said that, I wasn’t 100% confident that we would keep our advantage over you from the first leg.
Forest were lucky at Yeovil, your team played the more attractive and attacking football yet you finished the match as losers by 2-0, but you certainly gave Forest a lesson in finishing, passion, attacking attractive football and commitment last night by beating them in their own back yard 5-2 and there could have been more. If Paul Smith (man of the match) hadn’t played the way he did, then the score line would have been even higher.
Well done – you deserved what you got.
Let’s hope that if you win the play off final against whoever it will be that you prosper and survive in the Championship.
You have, in my eyes, deserved that prize. Again, well done. From a very disgruntled Forest Fan
Gutted But Happy For you
Just wanted to pass on my congratulations to your team and to you the fans. Yeovil were fantastic both home and away. Of course as a Forest fan I am gutted to say the least, but I for one never thought the game was dead and buried after the 1st leg.
Your players played their hearts out and never gave up and were a credit to you. Good luck to you all, I hope you go all the way and get promoted. Although it will be hard to watch the final knowing what could have been, the team that deserved it will be there, and I will be willing you on! All the best for next season. Lynda (Forest Fan)
It’s A Miracle
It was absolutely excellent to see Yeovil win 5-2 away at Nottingham Forest as the brilliant win meant that Yeovil won 5-4 on aggregate which overturned the 2-0 deficit from the first leg that took them to Wembley for the first time in their history.
Yeovil played excellent, the best they had played all season. It will be nice to go to the new Wembley, as I have never been to Wembley old or new as a Yeovil fan. I am amazed how Yeovil did, winning the second leg away after being 2-0 down from the first leg at home.
Yeovil had a mountain to climb after being 2 down from the first leg and they climbed it. It is a miracle to see Yeovil going to Wembley for the play-off final after losing the first leg at home by 2 goals.
I now hope and pray that Yeovil will win the play-off final at Wembley against Blackpool and go up to the Championship, because seeing Yeovil playing in the second tier would be a miracle and a dream come true. So come on, Yeovil, win the play-off final and go up to the Championship. Very Happy Joe Wills
Be careful Joe .. We may think that you’re being positive and happy! Good on ya mate!! See you at Wembley!!! Editor
Pinching Myself
I just cannot believe what is happening after all my years of supporting the town. After 50 years it seems unbelievable just a dream? Perhaps that is what it is and I will wake up. Dave Cousins, Miltons Way, Wootton Bassett
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations!!! on reaching the play off final at Wembley ,I have a question for you. On scoring the fifth goal last night Mr Davies was tapping his head, was he doing the famous salute of Cardiff City fans the "Ayatollah" as his celebration. Look forward to you getting back with the answer to the question and good luck to you in the play off final. We could be seeing you at Ninian Park next season. Geraint Dutfield (Cardiff City fan)
I’ll try and find out for you Geraint. The players have been off today, but I’ll be seeing Arron tomorrow, so I’ll ask him for you. Editor
A Few Words That Say A Lot!
Brilliant! Fantastic! Wonderful! Superb! Yes!!!! We’re going to Wembley!!!!!! Carol Davies
Best Of Luck In The Final
I’d just like to congratulate Yeovil Town on a storming display last night. You played us off the park in both game and fully deserved your win. Best of luck to you in the final. Enjoy your day out at Wembley.
A very disgruntled Forest fan of 40 years. Cheers, Rob Price

Russell Slade .. League One manager of the year!.....
|
|
It’s Been Great!
I would just like to congratulate Russell Slade for winning Manager of the year – Deserved it what ever happens on Friday night.
We have had an excellent season. Well done Russell and everybody connected with Yeovil. Ross Buckley
Well Done Mr Fry!
What is it with John Fry and that handy knack of bringing in the right man at the right time!? Russell Slade’s was a great appointment, with him taking the team to new heights, and still maybe to the Championship!
Mr Johnson said that he had taken the club as far as he could. How do you feel now Gary!!!?? Well done Russell, and long may you be around to keep us moving upwards! Carol Davies
Fully Deserved
Well done Russell – You’re amazing! A great season, whatever, and a great manger who has led an inspired right from the start. An award well won and fully deserved! Denis Reeves
Well Done Russ
Who cares that Mr Slade does not wear a suit on the touchline!? He wins matches, and his team does so in style! Well done Russell, and many congratulations to the whole club for an amazing season. Mike Richards

Disappointment against Forest at Huish Park.....
|
|
We can Still Do It!
I see that some fans think it’s all over in the away leg. In the second leg, do not be Surprised to see Yeovil score first, then this game will go into Overdrive. Yeovil were the better side on Friday evening. Just a
Pity that we could score on the night.
well done to manger and all Staff, and of course the players.
I see that Joe is getting better at reporting the game and being more positive. About time! Never mind Joe - carry on the good work. Dave Abbott
It Ain’t Over Yet!
Unlucky the Glovers. They played brilliant, but missed too many chances but still outplayed forest. The penalties I think were penalties, but we will give Forest a battle on Friday night and make them work for Wembley. COME ON THE GLOVERS. Ross Buckley
Keep it up guys!
Well done lads- an excellent performance- but oh! those missed chances!!!
If only there was a way of fine tuning our finishing! A great atmosphere on Friday and still all to play for - if we can get the ball in the net rather than hit the post, the goal keeper, the side netting or the crossbar!!!
Keep it up guys! Ray Cleave
Very proud
I’m not going to hark on about how far we’ve come in being disappointed at losing to Nottingham Forest. But today I am still very proud of our lads for a great performance. Just a shame about all the missed goals. Tina Jennings
Not A Great Forest
I thought Forest were poor! And if their fans would admit it, they were lucky to win this tie 2-0. If Arron Davies had got that break away goal it could have been a different story. We still have much to play for in the second leg. It should be an interesting game, especially if we score and their fans get on their backs. David Henry
Missed Chances
Had this tie ended at 0-1 it would have been bearable, but to concede right at the end was gutting. We played very well, and indeed out played them, particularly in the second half. Too many missed opportunities though. Proud though, and feeling hopeful for the second leg. Carol Davies
Wow, Yeovil
Wow, Yeovil....The team has nothing to lose just all to win in those play-off matches but players can't do their jobs out there.
Fans all over are crying but what can they do, NOTHING.
It's all about scoring and winning matches not to lose them 0-1 or 0-2....Some teams never learn their lesson.
Better luck next season, Forest will easy win at home in next match. Anyway it has been a great season for fans all over, we hope next season will be better. Best of luck, Forza and go for gold....We just have to wait until next season!!
Keep up the good work in future. Jim Arne Pettersen
A bit harsh Jim, though you sound a bit of a red to me! Don’t count on an easy ride in the second leg, and watch out if we get an early goal. If I were you I would be worried at just how out played your team was. On this showing I think that you will struggle in the Championship, if you get there that is! Editor
We Were The Better Side
It was a disgrace to see Yeovil lose 2-0 at home to Nottingham Forest as Yeovil were the better side and created more chances than what Forest did.
I feel that Yeovil were unlucky to lose. It was a bit cruel to lose the game to two penalties. I don't think that Yeovil will reach the play-off final at Wembley now after that defeat.
The defeat was not really a surprise though as Yeovil lost to Forest twice in the league. Despite the home defeat, I am still going to the away leg to support the team. Yeovil's good record on sky came to an end as they had only lost once before on sky and had never lost at home on sky. Joe Wills
You were doing really well there Joe .. For a while. Editor

Good Luck From City
I just like to wish everybody connected with Yeovil town, good luck for tomorrow night against Forest, and also congratulate you on a brilliant season. I for one would love to see the Glovers in the championship. Jon (Bristol City season ticket holder)
And best of luck to you too in the Championship. Editor

A win against the Gills .. and Forest in the Play-off semi's.....

Not So Mighty Forest!
So the mighty Forest? Yeah right!!! I would love to see us win. Not only to get to the final, but to also wipe the arrogant smiles off their smug, above themselves faces! Gary Turner
Nice End To The League Season
It was a good game up in Kent, and I was happy to see the lads finish the league season with a relaxed display and deserved win.
It all looks very positive for the play-offs now. It will be tough against Forest, but we only narrowly missed out twice against them in the league this season, so we have a great chance. Keep it up lads – We’re almost there. Carol Davies
Happy And Reasonably Positive
It was very good to see Yeovil beat Gillingham 2-0 away as the win meant that Yeovil did the double over Gillingham following their 2-0 win at home earlier in the season and ended the season with three straight wins without any goals conceded which is excellent.
Yeovil played better than Gillingham and deserved their 2-0 win. It was good to see JP Kalala score his first goal for Yeovil. Yeovil finished the season in 5th place and on 79 points which is also excellent.
Yeovil now face Nottingham Forest in the play-offs which will be hard games for Yeovil as Forest beat Yeovil 1-0 twice in the league this season and their manager Colin Calderwood has a good record against Yeovil. Joe Wills
Bring ‘em On!!!
Bring on the Forest!!! We are the famous, the famous Yeovil!!! Debbie Windsor

A Message For Joe
Joe brighten up a bit - We are in the play offs!!!!!! Ross Buckley
Joe Wills
I know that this has been said before, but I have to say that I am getting fed up with the attitude of Joe Wills. To read his emails you’d think that we’d had a poor season. One or two losses and he starts with the doom and gloom. It took until mid March for him to stop talking of relegation – and this when we have been in the top six for most of the season!
I know that we are all entitled to our opinion, but his endless droning on and his mindless statistics are depressing me! Come on Joe brighten up, and enjoy your football! Don Richmond
Joe – At Last!
It’s nice to see Joe putting up some positive e-mails at last, but how long has it taken?
44 matches - not a bad percentage at all.
Come on Joe be positive all the season! Dave Abbott

Favourites For Relegation?
They said we’d go down and we stayed up, and not only that, we could be going up!! A great achievement for the team and the club. Even if we don’t eventually make it, it will have been a great season! Joy Stevens
We’re On Our Merry Way!
Hey Serra Serra, what ever will be will be … we’re going to Wembley!!! David Grant
We’re There!!
A good performance, and a game won by another very good Wayne Gray Goal. Of yes, and we’re in the play-offs!! Happy Days!! Best of luck to the lads. See you at Wembley!!!!! Carol Davies
Just Slightly Happy
Yessssssssssssss!!!!!! Roger Andrews
